Thanks guys! Jake: sort of. I saw a step by step of this painting and that's what he did, so I copied ;) It was more of a teperature compliment than the actual color. I put down that really warm orange, then I went over the area with cooler colors and low opacity/textured brushes so that the warms show through. It's a technique from oil paint: laying down a thin wash and dry-brushing over it. It gives a lot of depth :) I've done it before in oils, just not very well haha.
